Museum of The Isles

Located in Armadale Castle gardens, this award-winning museum, opened in 2002, tells the story of the Highlands and Islands through the eys of the MacDonalds, from the days of the medieval Gaelic Lordship of the Isles to 19th century clearance and emigration. Children’s trails, library, archives and genealogy research. Disabled access. Set in 44 acres of beautiful woodland gardens, with children’s play area, nature trails, restaurant and gift shops.
